Successful
conferences in 1997 in both Wellington
and Auckland were part of the CAE
project aiming to recognise that
careful management of risk in all
its forms was becoming an increasingly
important factor in the competitive
business environment.
The project
also recognised that as the discipline
matures the integration of risk
management procedures across disciplines
such
as finance, law, science, engineering,
medicine and insurance must become
more common.
The product of these
workshops was published as Owning
the Future: Integrated
