Charles Hendtlass — Information Systems Specialist Charles Hendtlass joined CAE as Editor in July 1992. Prior to that, he spent a short period as a high school teacher (physics, science and English) after working for a number of years on energy-related research projects at Lincoln and Canterbury universities in the areas of renewable energy technologies and energy analysis techniques.
A three year trip to the UK in the early eighties was spent working for Elsevier Sequoia in Oxford as a Desk Editor for a number of scientific journals and publications. His involvement in editing and publishing continued on a freelance basis along side his research work until joining CAE.
He has a BSc in Physics and a BA in English from Otago University, MSc in Resource Management from Canterbury University, and a Teaching Diploma. For a change of pace, he is now working (very slowly) toward a Diploma in Religious Studies through Massey University.
As well as producing CAE's publications and newsletters, Charles also looks after CAE's website and local computer network. |
